Another Week Gone too Fast

Here it is on Saturday morning and I have yet to post another blog since my first. My intentions are to post a couple times a week or when there is a moment that I do not want to forget.

We have had a good week. Sam is almost sitting on his own. I can not wait to see the reaction he gets from Keagan, Ella, and Lauren. They are not going to believe how fast he is growing until he is sitting like them. We tried cereal and veggies again this week with no luck. Sam is just not into the baby food, yet. It is not like he is starving, though. I took Sam to the doctors for a check on his cough and found out he weighs 18 lbs and 12 ounces. Not bad for 5 1/2 months.

Keagan got a note sent home for misbehaving on the playground. He is really upset about it. The bad part, for him, was I volunteered in his classroom after lunch so he came in and had to go to time out while I was there helping. Not a great moment, but hopefully this will help him think before he acts. Keagan is so sensitive and when he gets in trouble (with another adult) he transfers his tears from being in trouble to tears of made up pain. For example, he came in from recess and was put in time out. I know he was embarassed and he was crying, but instead of just crying, he said he hit his head on the bricks so his tears are from hurting himself and not embarassment.

Another school week has gone by, but this time Lauren is in the mix...Yes, Lauren started preschool at Bridges this week. I was not going to send her to school this year as she seems so young, but after visiting Bridges on Friday, Lauren thought she was going to school. Her excitement was beyond words. So I called and signed her up for Tuesday mornings. Ella gave Lauren her own Care Bears back pack and Ella got to pick a new "big girl" back pack. Now Lauren joins the twos program with Miss Molly, Miss Cindy, and Miss Kristen. I am glad she will have a chance to experience Bridges like Keagan and Ella. What a great place to start her education.

Another great part of the week was Bob won the Club Championship at Elcona! We are so proud of him. After going through many rounds of match play all summer, he won a 36 hole championship after the 31st hole! He won club credit in the pro shop and a HUGE trophy. The kids could not believe the size of the trophy. It is more like a weapon.

Today we have a soccer game for Keagan and then a pumpkin craving party at our friend's house. Whata great start to the Halloween Season!

My First Post

Well, I think I have entered the next stage in my advancement in technology. I have heard a lot about blogs never quite understood why I should have one. After talking to a friend she made me understand a little better what I could do with my blog. So, here I go.

This is for my children and my husband. I go through most of my days in a haze. With Keagan, 5; Ella, 4; Lauren, 2; and Samuel 5 months I am running in many different directions without writing down the simple pleasures that I see through my day. I don't want to forget how cute it is when Lauren calls Samuel "honey" over and over again, just like I do. And I don't want to forget how when the stars are aligned per se, Keagan, Ella and Lauren can play for hours and enjoy each other.

This is why I am starting my blog. Not for those of you who may read it, but for my children and husband. Know that even when I am yelling or crying or at my wits end, I treasure the time we have together and I would not change it for the world. We knew 4 children in 5 years was going to be challenging, but we also know we are working through the good and the bad together. I love what what created.
